DOJ Privacy Official: Expect Updated AI Strategy in ‘Near Future’
BOSTON -- DOJ is revising its AI strategy and expects to publish it soon, said Christina Baptista, senior counsel for the Office of Privacy and Civil Liberties, during a panel Thursday at the IAPP AI Governance Global North America.

In response to executive orders from President Donald Trump and OMB’s interpretive guidance, DOJ is currently revising its AI strategy, compliance plan and AI maturity assessment, she said: “All of those will be published in the near future.”
The update focuses on governance, asset sharing, data rights and this administration’s emphasis on domestic AI development, she added.
