“Recently, a host of security and privacy concerns have been raised about the Temu app, with Apple and Google suspending due to misrepresentations Temu made about the types of data the app can access or collect from users, how it does so, and for what purposes it uses the data,” said a request for proposals issued by the Oklahoma AG’s office. “The investigation and potential legal action may include facts and claims relating to Temu unlawfully siphoning and using consumer data, counterfeiting products, and engaging in other unlawful data-theft issues, deceptive trade practices, and violations of personal privacy.”

Temu didn’t comment.
