CPPA Recommends Complex Passwords and Multi-Factor Authentication

Kemp’s tips included never reusing passwords across different accounts and creating complex passwords. A password manager can help keep track of the codes, he noted.
The California Consumer Privacy Act’s goal “is to ensure that California consumers’ personal information is only used how the consumer wants to use it,” said Kemp. “Having strong passwords and enabling MFA are key steps that can help protect your online accounts and your personal information stored in them.”
