Privacy Daily provides accurate coverage of newsworthy developments in data protection legislation, regulation, litigation, and enforcement for privacy professionals responsible for ensuring effective organizational data privacy compliance.

Under their cooperation agreement, the watchdogs will build a close working relationship by sharing information appropriately and cooperating on matters of common interest, they said. This is a "significant milestone" in the DPC's commitment to inter-regulatory cooperation in the digital arena, the Irish privacy watchdog said.

The regulators also published a joint statement on advancing the safety of children and the protection of their personal data online. While balancing data protection and online safety may present challenges, data protection-by-design and safety-by-design are compatible, they said. They agreed to collaborate to ensure that children receive the higher standards of protection they deserve.
