Trump to Name NEC Adviser Baasch to Replace Holyoak at FTC

President Donald Trump will name Ryan Baasch to replace outgoing FTC Commissioner Melissa Holyoak, the White House confirmed Thursday.

Holyoak is expected to be nominated to serve as U.S. attorney for Utah. Baasch is currently a special assistant to the president on the National Economic Council, where he advises on AI and telecommunications policy. He previously worked in the Texas attorney general’s office.

“Ryan Baasch is an America First patriot who has been a tremendous asset for President Trump on the NEC, and he will continue to deliver on the President’s agenda at the Federal Trade Commission,” the White House said Thursday.
