AB-105 would prohibit businesses from “knowingly and intentionally publishing or distributing material harmful to minors” younger than 18 “on a website that contains a substantial portion of such material, unless the business entity performs a reasonable age verification method to verify the age of individuals attempting to access the website,” said a bill analysis.

The Assembly passed the bill 69-22 on March 20. The Senate committee on Tuesday also amended and advanced the similar SB-130.
