Indian Privacy Act Takes Effect as Finalized Rules Are Published

In June, the government published nonbinding business requirements for consent management systems in line with the DPDPA (see Ref:2506100008]). The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology published the draft rules for comment in January 2025 (see Ref:2501060002]).
