In an SEC filing, the Swiss-based firm said it “recently experienced a cybersecurity incident relating to the exfiltration of data” but stressed it “has not impacted Logitech’s products, business operations or manufacturing.”

Logitech added, “Upon detecting the incident, [the company] promptly took steps to investigate and respond to the incident with the assistance of leading external cybersecurity firms." It's believed “that the unauthorized third party used a zero-day vulnerability in a third-party software platform and copied certain data from the internal IT system.” An investigation is underway.

Though exactly what data was affected wasn't shared in the SEC filing, Logitech said it “likely included limited information about employees and consumers and data relating to customers and suppliers.” Sensitive personal information was not stored on the impacted system, it added.
