TechNet Adds Etsy CEO to Executive Council, Hires Policy Director
The CEO of online marketplace Etsy, Josh Silverman, joined TechNet's Executive Council, where he will serve a two-year term, TechNet said Thursday.

On Friday, TechNet announced Teddy Tanzer as its director of federal policy and government relations.
Silverman is set to become Etsy's executive chairman in January. He previously served as CEO of Skype and shopping.com.
Tanzer was senior director of Invariant’s technology and competition practice group prior to joining TechNet. He also served as senior counsel on the Majority Staff of the House Energy and Commerce Committee’s Innovation, Data, and Commerce Subcommittee, from Jan. 2023 through Nov. 2024.
