Former Microsoft chief privacy officer Julie Brill stepped down at the end of May to launch a consultancy (see 2505300023). In an interview with Privacy Daily last April (see 2504300026), Benn supported regulatory efforts to simplify compliance with privacy laws globally amid what she called a "regulatory tsunami."
Brittney Justice is Valvoline's global head of privacy, legal, she wrote in a LinkedIn post Tuesday. Previously, Justice was an IAPP Privacy KnowledgeNet chapter chair and a privacy attorney at Baker McKenzie.

Privacy compliance firm SafeGuard named veteran lawyer Andy Hepburn as general counsel and chief legal officer, the company said Friday. Wayne Matus, SafeGuard’s co-founder and general counsel, becomes data protection officer and general counsel emeritus. Hepburn’s resume includes senior legal positions at Georgia-Pacific and Sony Mobile.
Megan Cox has joined the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) as director of its Privacy Review Program, NAI said Monday. She previously was an attorney in the FTC’s Division of Privacy and Identity Protection.

Dean Ball has taken on the role of senior policy adviser for AI and emerging technology at the White House's Office of Science and Technology Policy, he announced Thursday on Substack. Ball was previously a research fellow at George Mason University’s Mercatus Center, and authored the Substack "Hyperdimensional," which, he said, he will continue in a more limited capacity while in his new position.
AI-driven platform for digital identity verification Socure announced Tuesday that Rivka Gewirtz Little was promoted to chief growth officer. Most recently she was chief of staff for Socure CEO Johnny Ayers. Previously, she was senior vice president of market and strategy at Socure and led global fraud strategy at Goldman Sachs.
